GL Homes’ plan addresses this pressing issue by including 277 units of much-needed workforce housing. These individuals play an integral role in maintaining the well-being and security of our South Palm Beach community, and it is only fitting that they have access to quality, affordable housing options within the area they serve.

Furthermore, I am pleased to learn that the proposed plan also includes provisions for senior/special needs housing, religious institutions, and public civic uses.

I have reviewed the details of the Indian Trails/Ag Reserve plan and strongly believe it represents a win-win for Palm Beach County and its residents. Water is a vital resource that drives our economy, supports tourism, and enhances our quality of life. Yet, we’re facing a water crisis that will only worsen if not addressed immediately. Lake Worth Lagoon, Loxahatchee River, and Grassy Waters Preserve are threatened due to contaminants, saltwater intrusion, algae blooms, and other issues. GL Homes has stepped forward to help tackle these problems with a multi-million-dollar water project that would be built and donated to the County at no cost to taxpayers. In addition, GL Homes will develop 277 critically needed workforce housing units for our local teachers, first responders, and healthcare workers. They will donate land for senior/special needs housing, religious institutions, and public civic uses. I understand the concerns surrounding development on Ag Reserve land but firmly believe the benefits of this plan far outweigh any potential drawbacks. GL Homes can make a meaningful and positive impact on our County while building a beautiful new community that will be enjoyed for generations to come.
